Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue Honors
Redcoat Marching Band by Commendation
Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue signs Commendation designating March 29, 2005 as
Redcoat Marching Band Day in Georgia. At a signing ceremony at the State Capital,
the governor honored the Redcoat's 100 Seasons of service to the University of Georgia.

Celebrating 100 Years of The UGA Redcoat Band! The UGA Redcoat Marching Band and Artist, Ken Modak,
worked together to produce the 100-year commemorative limited edition print entitled "The Georgia Redcoat
Band 1905-2005."
This is a unique opportunity for the Redcoat Band, as a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the UGA
University Bands. "We are excited to work with Ken on this project and feel that the end result will be a true
point of pride for all who are connected with Redcoats (past and present) as well as the entire UGA community,"
said David Romines, Director of the Redcoat Band.
Prints are limited to an edition size of 2,005, with 205 Artist's Proofs.
All prints are inspected and hand signed by the artist, Ken Modak. Along with the print,
there will be a Certificate of Authenticity and Identification Key.
Many of the Redcoats have already received their print and have been pleased. Also, many kind words
have been shared about the artwork, such as the following note:
